Ducks in white water

My grandfather and I visited Holme Pierrepont this afternoon. We watched these two ducks - likely a mating pair - peck food from the bottom of the white water course area:

I didn't photograph the couple together; they were both too busy eating to move closer to each other.

Holme Pierrepont was busy today; there was a boating event taking place. The event was over before we finished our walk around the main water area.

  2. I love mallards. Especially the females. They look identical to the ones here.

  3. I like watching ducks. I find them both entertaining and calming. Are you enjoying living with your grandparents so far? Have you been missing your family? How are you adjusting to your new college life?

    1. There haven't been any problems living with my grandparents; I don't expect that to change! Surprisingly, I haven't been missing my parents and brother that much, possibly because I'm with family and because I can contact home any time.

As for life at college, I'm adjusting pretty well although I am still working on the "friends" part of it. I get along with people there but I can't really say that I've made any friends yet. :/

    2. I'm glad to hear your living situation is a good one. I'm sure you'll make friends soon if that's something you're interested in!
