Rain in June

Today has been one of those days when the weather cannot make up its mind. It rained in the morning, sprinkled in the early afternoon, was sunny for the rest of the afternoon and as I write this it's raining again; just a few minutes ago it was chucking it down! It was hot two days ago and there were clear blue skies over three days ago; the sky is now filled with dark rainclouds. What a change.

The raining is cooling the area down, which is good; we need the occasional rain in the summer since nearly all houses here don't have air conditioning and constant heat would be uncomfortable. At the same time, my brother will be attending a carnival tomorrow; I hope this weather will blow through so that the carnival won't be spoilt by the rain!

  1. It's raining in Seattle too. Boo rain. At the point of the year, when it's been raining for the last 9 months and all I want are a bunch of sunny days. Fingers crossed that happens soon.

    1. You deserve some sun! Perhaps some of Seattle's rain could help some of the drought-affected areas of the US for a bit. :)

  2. Sounds like here! It rained last night, was gray all day, cooled down and now the sun is out!

    1. It is pretty neat how the weather will change so much in one day. :)

  3. Do you have air conditioning?

    1. Air conditioning does exist over here, but in my experience the vast majority of buildings don't have it. Nearly all vehicles do, though.

    2. I'd sleep in my car.

Not true. I never idle, no matter what the temp.

    3. I think sleeping in an air-conditioned car would generate a lot of gasoline expenses!
