Never let anyone convince you that you "wasted" your vote in an election. Whether you voted for the winner, somebody who came in last or wrote in your own name, as long as you consider it a worthy vote, it shall remain so. It's not anyone else's place to judge your vote for you.
I feel the same as even high turnout elections rarely go up to 70% of eligible voters
