Improved description/tagline

I want to trim down the description/tagline for my blog, which I haven't modified since I started Air Nice-to-Livelands nearly two years ago. Currently, it reads as:

"A blog created to document various events and topics that interest me, as well as to share some of my thoughts and experiences."

I think it's clunky and wordy; I've come up with two possible word choices so far:

"Documenting events and topics I find interesting, as well as sharing my thoughts and experiences."

or

"Blogging about events and topics I find interesting, as well as sharing my thoughts and experiences."

I'm happy with either and will choose between the two if I don't think of any better wording, but I'd like to give my readers input first. Improvements or alternate phrasings are welcome, too!

    I'd go for the first... the second is kind of redundant. we know you're blogging - we're on your blog!
