English variation clarification

In my previous post, I posted a picture of a restaurant menu that I said featured both American and British English. My friend and fellow blogger Jessica asked if the American English was at the bottom of the menu. The answer? Yes, it was.

In the top-right corner of the menu,  the word "takeaway" is present, which is the British version of the term "take-out"; however, at the bottom, the menu proceeds to use the term "take-out". Quite interesting, don't you think?

  1. Yes! But, then again, I spell "colour" the British way and I remember in 7th grade that annoyed my teachers. Oops, lol.
