EU referendum youth turnout

Ever since the referendum on the United Kingdom's membership within the European Union, many young people have been furious, as they feel that their future has been ruined by those who perceive to have benefited from the UK's presence within the EU yet voted to leave it. However, other groups have hit back, saying that the youth have no right to complain because about a third of eligible voters between the ages of 18-24 participated.

There is evidence that the turnout in that group was much higher - close to two-thirds:

I hope this is the case. It would stink if concerns of the youth were forever shut down on the basis that they "didn't vote" when it turns out that they, in fact, did. It might be a lower turnout than other groups but at least it would be majority of them who participated in the referendum.
