The sludge

The last image in my Alyn Waters Country Park post contained an orange stream. I also wrote about another image, one that was taken by my brother, that looked as though it were a picture of sludge:

According to my grandfather, yellow ochre — a hydrated iron salt — in the ground, along with contaminants washed out from the nearby landfill, created this mess and caused the stream to turn orange.

  1. Hmmm, interesting. Reminds me of a stream I saw that looked like goo, but it was moving so slowly that it was a result of that. It can be found here:

    2. It was, but it was strangely cool, haha. :)

I actually liked that park; it was an hour away though and I am not sure how mom felt about it. Mom said she'll take my graduation pictures with the professional camera I bought instead of hiring a photographer. We're just trying to look for a place.
